When you look at someone, straight in the eyes, shutters
(completely) down and the perpetrator looks back; sees the honesty and the pain
then lies to your face - THAT's betrayal at it's best. When they turn away with
dead words and empty promises - that's betrayal at it's worse.
What kind of monster, I ask, can watch someone's hopes die, as the stars in their eyes go out KNOWING they're the catalyst.
